I have researched and am interested in sculptures. I have narrowed it down to sculptures from two different dynasties.

Buddha sculpture (Tang)
This is an example of one I really liked, from the Tang Dynasty
Buddha sculpture (Tang Dynasty 618-907) using a lacquer process

Sculpture from the Han Dynasty
This is an example of one I also like, from the Han Dynasty
Female Dancer – Han Dynasty (2nd century BCE) made of earthenware.

Both were buried in tombs. I have always liked sculpture as an art form and both of these are on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in my hometown in NYC so I like the idea that I can go visit them and not just look at a picture. I am not sure which sculpture and era I want to focus on but I think it will be between these two, which will then lead me to other sculptures from the same era and research about the culture and history during that era. I feel confident I can find scholarly sources for both these ideas (see above examples).
